Katrina 2

Katrina makes me sad. I once knew a girl named Katrina. She was nice. I bet she's sad that this disaster shares her name. I am in compliance with Amy's disgust for the blame game. I mean, seriously, did George W. Bush huff and puff over the Atlantic until this hurricane was whipped up? Come on! And if I recall correctly, he actually declared a state of disaster BEFORE the thing ever hit, urging the Mayor of New Orleans and the Govenor of Louisianna to issue a mandatory (which usually means "you have to") evacuation. But they thought it best to wait until after the hurricane to do so. Good call guys! Its just unfortunate all around. I'm sure everyone is doing the best they can now. An operation like this will never go smoothly, ever, anywhere in the world. Its unreasonable to expect that. The only thing I'm loving about the news lately is that I don't hear about Iraq every three seconds. And how bad we are for being over there. Yes, those Iraqi's would be much better off under the sweet little thumb of Saddam. He's a teddy bear, really! Harmless, right? DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED!SIDE BAR: I wish we Americans got along well enough to not rip each other off at the gas pump! I'm gonna have killer buns and thighs once I have to start rollerblading everywhere! Then the price of replacement wheels will go sky high! Will it ever end? This has to be the End Times! Isn't there something in the bible about the Anti-Christ raising gas prices beyond imagination? Not sure, I'll have to look that one up.
